You are watching: Remington fieldmaster model 121 serial numbers

Look at the left side of the barrel right where it hits the receiver, below and to the right of where it says ".22 short, long and long rifle". There should be a stamped set of letters. Mine says DSS, which corresponds to 09/1947. Mine has a S/N just under 100K.RemingtonOwners.com ? View topic - Remington Serial number look upI saw one of these on the rack in the Cabelas Gun Library last weekend, in MUCH worse shape than mine, for $499.
I have recently acquired a Remington Model 121 chambered in .22 Remington Special, or .22 WRF. Not knowing all of the Remington date codes very well, I am attempting to discern the date on manufacture and hope that someone can help me out. On the left side of the barrel, next to the receiver there are two lines of letters and numbers. Also, there is no serial number to be found.Line one reads: WSS3Line two below line one reads: ATT3Any help would be greatly appreciated since this 121 is in excellent condition inside and out. Many Thanks,James

Thanks. I did look at this site earlier, however, it confused me a bit. I found more info on the site below. However, line one translated to 08/1947 and line two translated to 03/1948. I wonder if line two was a date of a factory repair and what does the 3 indicate at the end of both line 1 & 2?http://www.remingtonowners.com/topic130.html
